Who can study at RMIT Vietnam?
If you have completed an Upper Secondary Education with satisfactory results, you are eligible to apply to RMIT Vietnam. Studies at RMIT Vietnam are for those who:
- take a gap year and want to try to live in Vietnam - study for a semester or two and take courses of your interest (minimum 18-years-old)
- are already enrolled in a university in your home country and want to study a semester or two in Vietnam and transfer the ECTS-points to your education at home (also called Study Abroad/Freemover)
- dream of studying an entire Degree at RMIT Vietnam e.g. your Bachelor, Master or a Diploma
- have completed a degree and want to specialize with a Diploma
Two campuses
RMIT Vietnam has two campuses:
- The Saigon South Campus in Ho Chi Minh City
- Hanoi campus on the bank of Ngoc Khanh Lake
- You also have the option to relocate to the RMIT Melbourne campus e.g. as a Study Abroad student
As a student at RMIT Vietnam, you will study in an exciting and fast-developing South-East Asian country. RMIT Vietnam is committed to providing quality education. All of the courses offered at RMIT Vietnam are originally taught at RMIT Melbourne. RMIT has strict moderation procedures to ensure that students are being taught and assessed at the same standard in each country. A degree from RMIT Vietnam is equivalent to that from RMIT Melbourne, as the different campuses are all part of one university.

Full degrees at RMIT Vietnam

Ho Chi Minh City/Saigon South Campus
The Saigon South campus is based in Ho Chi Minh City and is the largest campus, with around 6,000 students. It offer a broad range of programs in areas such as IT, business, fashion merchandising and economics.
RMIT Vietnam’s Saigon South campus is a purpose-built, contemporary educational facility of an international standard. The main campus building - AB1 - is a five-floor building with wireless technology, allowing students to access academic resources wherever they are.
The student accommodation, which some students have referred to as being more like living in a resort, provides a home away from home for students. A third stage academic building - AB2 - provides study facilities for another 4,000 plus students. Various contemporary food outlets offer a variety of Vietnamese and Western cuisines.
Student activities include social clubs and sporting groups such as football and basketball teams. Yoga, Aikido and classic and modern dance are also taught on campus.
Hanoi campus
The Hanoi campus has about 1,400 students and its program offerings include English, IT, commerce, accountancy and professional communication. The Hanoi campus is on the banks of one of Hanoi's most picturesque lakes.
The new campus location is fitted with the latest state-of-the-art learning facilities, including use of multimedia technology and other innovative features to allow for small group learning in an informal, collaborative setting. A range of sporting competitions and community support activities are also available to students.
Housing at RMIT Vietnam
On-Campus student accommodation is available at Saigon South Campus (approx. 100 spaces). The residential management team is on site 24/7. The accommodation available ranges from single-studio to multi-shared accommodation. Bedrooms are equipped with an in-room safety deposit box and wireless connectivity to the University's intranet.
It is not possible to live on-campus in Hanoi, but the Student Support team and International Unit in both cities will assist students in finding private accommodation.
